Pakistan ke halia qanooni dhaancho (Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act - PECA Amendments) ke mutabiq, digital identity chori karne par bhari jurmane aur qaid ki saza mukarrar ki gayi hai. Saal 2026 mein Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) ke cybercrime wing ke sath sath naye specialized regulatory authorities ko mazeed absolute ikhtiyarat diye gae hain. 1. 👤 Identity Information Ka Baghair Ijazat Istemal (Section 16)
PECA ke Section 16 ke tehat kisi bhi dusre shakhs ki identity information (jaise CNIC number, biometric data, account passwords, digital signatures, ya zaati pictures) ko uski marzi ya ijazat ke baghair handle karna sangeen digital jaraim mein shamil hai.
- Prohibited Actions: Agar koi shakhs gair-qanooni taur par aap ka data haasil karta hai (Obtains), bechta hai (Sells), apne paas computer ya mobile mein rakhta hai (Possesses), aage kisi ko share karta hai (Transmits), ya misuse karta hai (Uses).

Internet par kisi dusre shakhs ke naam, picture, ya identity ka galat istemal kar ke fake profile banana, email spoofing karna, ya online apni galat pehchan batana (Catfishing) ab naye cyber laws ke tehat sakht jurm qaraar diya gaya hai.
- Spoofing & Catfishing Limits: Kisi ke naam se fake Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, ya X (Twitter) account chala kar logon ko dhoka dena ya kisi ki reputation ko kharab karna is section ke tehat aata hai.
- Saza: Is section ke tehat gunahgar ko 3 saal tak qaid aur 50 lakh rupees tak jurmana ho sakta hai.
Agar koi shakhs bad-niyati (dishonest intention) ke sath kisi ka private ya digital data uski ijazat ke baghair copy, alter, ya transfer karta hai:
- Scope of Violation: Is mein aap ke personal documents, private WhatsApp/Messenger chats, personal photos, cloud storage files, ya professional databases ko chori se download ya share karna shamil hai.
- Saza: Is code ke tehat 6 mah tak qaid aur 1 lakh rupees tak jurmana mukarrar kiya gaya hai.
